Why ask for prayer?

Romans 15:30
'I urge you, brothers and sisters, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to join me in my struggle by praying to God for me.'

In our daily struggles we, like Paul, can be encouraged by members of our church family praying with and for us. If you would like others to be praying for you, please ask any of the prayer ministry team (or indeed any of the church family). You can ask personally, by email (prayer @deanechurch.org) or drop a prayer request card in the box at the back of church. All prayer requests will remain confidential within the prayer ministry team.

Prayer is such a privilege; let us join together in our struggles and as we do, encourage and build each other up, bringing glory to God.

Our prayer diary for February is available at the back of church.  Please take a copy home and use it to help you pray through this month. The Urban Outreach prayer diary for Feb-March is also available at the back of church.

Grub Tub

Thank you for continuing to donate items for Storehouse and WinterWatch through the Grub Tub at the back of church.  If you are out shopping and can pick up a couple of extra items, then do put them in the tub at the back.  They are much appreciated.

Storehouse are particularly in need of UHT milk and rice if you could possibly donate those items.  They have a good stock of toiletries but not enough deodorants.

WinterWatch has restarted for this winter and will run through into March providing food, clothing, showers and advice to homeless people on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings.  Each evening is staffed by volunteers.  Do be praying for WinterWatch over these next few months.

Data Protection Review

We are required by law to make sure that the data that we hold about you meets certain principles, including that is is accurate and relevant.  We are therefore giving you all an opportunity to review the information that we hold so that you can tell us whether there are any changes, and whether you are happy for us to continue holding that information.

We have already done this for families with children as we needed to collect certain information at the start of a new school year.

We have now put together forms for adults in the church who don't have children in one of our Sunday groups.  The forms are available in the pigeon holes at the back of church.  Please can you collect your form, take the time to review the information we have, sign it and return it to us in the box provided.

If there isn't a form for you in the pigeon holes, then our apologies.  There are some blank forms available on top of the pigeon holes.  Please take one of those, complete it and return it to us.

If you have any questions then please speak to Beccy.  Thank you.

Flower list

If you would like to make a donation towards the provision of flowers in church during 2017 then please put your name on the list at the back of church.

When you are making a donation please use one of the envelopes provided, and if you can please give your donation to Josie, or one of the wardens, two weeks before the date you have signed up for that would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Thank you

I wish to thank all those members of the Deane Church Family, especially members of the Ladies Guild, who have sent flowers, cards and words of comfort and encouragement over the past few difficult weeks.  There have been times when I have struggled and there are still difficult times ahead but with prayers and support, and the loving hand of Jesus, I am sure all will be well in the end.

Thank you all again
Pat Boydell

It's Sainsbury's Active kids time again!

Last year you helped the Guides, Rainbows and Brownies of St Mary's, Deane by collecting vouchers which were used to obtain fitness sessions.

Again Sainsbury's AKV vouchers are now available for every £10 you spend at Sainsbury's store or petrol station.  So please remember to collect your vouchers - better still ask your friends, relatives and neighbours to collect the vouchers too!  A box will be at the back of church until the end of the campaign.

Many thanks.
