What's Been Happening
The brothers in the EDGE ministry surprised the sisters this past Saturday by encouraging them with a special lunch and program.  The sisters thought they were coming to a devotional, and then arrived to find themselves as the guests of honor.  They participated in humorous activities and much laughter was shared.  They enjoyed a delicious meal cooked by the brothers.  Each one was awarded a certificate, such as Most Zealous, and Most Vulnerable.  Shout out to the brothers for taking the time and energy to be make the sisters feel loved and valued!
The club house was full, with a great crowd, at the Reveal Party for Baby Wright this past Saturday evening.  Everyone enjoyed a pasta dinner and a selection of desserts.  Then the group was entertained by Tre picking out "Twinkle Twinkle" on the guitar, and by his niece, Joy, singing the song.  This was followed by game playing.  There was much laughter as the guests guessed whether the baby was a boy or girl, based on old wives tales.  It was then thought that the gender would be revealed through playing Buster Balloon.  It was a trick, as the balloon only held white confetti.  But then Ketera brought out the real balloon, and everyone was excited to see the pink confetti that meant that she and Tre are having a girl.
The Auburn women enjoyed a women's midweek gathering this past Wednesday. The evening started with a yummy chicken curry, made by Marge.  Then some of the women took turns dressing as a queen and decreeing what they would change in the world.  (More chocolate!)  Marge led an inspiring lesson on Esther, and the group discussed ways we respond to adversity, and how we can grow in our trials, as Esther did, to make an impact.
The North River Church of Christ is having a Women's Day on Saturday, March 11, from 9 AM to 1 PM.  The speaker will be Erica Kim, who is an elder's wife and oversees the Youth and Family Ministry at our sister congregation in Denver.  She previously led the women in Tokyo, Japan and helped build that ministry. Erica is the author of several books.

Erica will be doing a three part series on grace for the Women's Day.

This would be a good event for ATCC women to attend.  Ladies, put this special date on your calendar and start thinking about a friend who might like to come with you.
Parents register your children to attend our Christian camp, the Swamp, this summer.  It's life changing -- one of the best things you will ever do for your children! Those who register before April 1 will receive a free t-shirt.

Campus, singles and others, the camp is looking for counselors and volunteers to work in the kitchen. The workers have a super time too!  Apply to volunteer for a week or more in the summer.
