ANNOUNCEMENTS & REMINDERS

Dress Code Reminder - Since the Grade School needs to act as a community, and specifically a harmonious community, it is important that we all refresh ourselves with, and actively uphold, the dress code. While one may not personally agree with each point under the code, your support is needed to help demonstrate what it means at this school to be "living in community."
Thank you from the College of Teachers

GRADE 12 PROJECT PRESENTATIONS

 ~ CALL FOR HELP ~
My name is Kaliyana and I am in the grade 12 class, currently working on my grade 12 project. My topic is to do with rap music. For the artistic component I have been trying to create a song. I have been trying to do this by myself for quite some time, but when it comes to the recording and making of the actual music, I have no idea where to start! If anyone can help me or knows someone that could help me, please let me know, I would appreciate it so much!
My phone number is (778) 995-0524 and my email is kaliyanachambers@gmail.com
Feel free to get a hold of me for anything that might help!
Thank you, Kaliyana

STUDENT SUBMISSION - GRADE 5

The Humble Leaf Boat Story
Once upon a time a humble fisherman was fishing humbly, when all of a sudden his cat, called Humble Cat, freaked out and started rocking the boat and humble cat and the humble fisherman fell out. The humble fisherman humbly sank to the bottom of the humble ocean and found a cave and swam into it. The humble fisherman found himself in a humble maze of trees. A humble sign said, “You must find the humble leaf boat, but if you touch the water you will turn into stone." The humble fisherman found his way to the humble leaf boat, but there was a soldier who blocked his way. They got into the humble leaf  boat and went to see the king. The king locked up the humble fisherman suddenly the king died in his wheelchair shortly after and the humble fisherman was free! He went to see Humble Cat who was humbly waiting and they lived humbly ever after.
The Humble End!

NOTES

Did you catch the North Shore News on Wednesday? We had a listing in the Independent School Insert including testimonials from Tayme (grade 12 student), Simon (ECC parent), and Mrs. McKenzie (grade 3 teacher). If you missed it, we posted a photo on our Instagram account here: www.instagram.com/p/BQlsEPcjRSn

I will miss the buzz of students at school this week. Office hours will be sporadic during Pro D days, so please give a call before stopping in. Enjoy your family time and I wish the best of luck to our high school students who, for many, will be experiencing their first jobs during their work placements next week!

Many blessings
