Ron Hamill is a Mycologist and Botanist with over 20 years of experience surveying, identifying and recording fungi species throughout western North America. He was a founding member of the Cascade Mycological Society, and is a member of the Mycological Society of America, the Pacific Northwest Key Council, and the North American Mycological Association (NAMA). He has been the lead identifier for the Mount Pisgah Arboretum Mushroom Festival for the last 20 years and has added hundreds of species to the show's cumulative list. He recently participated in identifying for the NAMA National Foray at Eatonville, Wa.
Susan Holmes has a B.S. in Botany from Oregon State University and a Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Oregon. Susan is a full-time science instructor at Lane Community College, a founding member of the Cascade Mycological Society, past CMS board member and a member of the Pacific Northwest Key Council. At LCC, one of the many science classes she teaches is the Biology of Mushrooms. In addition, she coordinates the LCC students collection, storage, and identification of mushrooms for the annual Mount Pisgah Arboretum Mushroom Festival.
