Who says we don’t want to be inspired?

Hoe ga je om met de universele menselijke drang om deel te zijn van een groter geheel? In hun derde voorstelling gaan Robbert&Frank Frank&Robbert op zoek naar zingeving in een wereld zonder Groot Verhaal.

Waren Robbert&Frank Frank&Robbert in het verleden nog de machinisten die de transformaties van de beelden en scènes in gang staken, in Don’t we deserve grand human projects that give us meaning? worden ze voor het eerst zelf deel van hun installaties en ontwerpen. De artiesten splitsen en dupliceren zichzelf als atomen in een imaginaire wereld van primaire kleuren. Het resultaat is een performance die speelt met perspectief en magnetisme, en u daarbij danig desoriënteert.

How do you deal with the universal human desire to be part of a larger whole? In their third performance, Robbert&Frank Frank&Robbert look for meaning in a world with no Grand Narrative.

Whereas in the past Robbert&Frank Frank&Robbert were still the operators who set the transformations of the images and scenes in motion, in Don’t we deserve grand human projects that give us meaning? they examine how they themselves can, for the first time, become part of their installations and designs. The artists divide and duplicate themselves as atoms in an imaginary world of primary colors. The result is a performance that plays with perspectives and magnetisme, disorienting the audience in a strong and fun way.
