Welcome Dinner for refugees new to our County
Sunday, Feb 26th from 3:30-5:30pm
River Falls Clubhouse, 7915 Horseshoe Lane in Potomac

We all read the news

Folks are forced to flee violence in their home countries, to leave their belongings, their careers and their ability to effectively communicate, often having to start their lives over with literally, nothing.

Let's show them that we care

- now it comes to Montgomery County, Maryland! Join us

Our meal will be catered by refugees: enjoy delicious, home cooked, international dishes while supporting our new neighbors!

We will share a meal, some laughter and our stories. Our new neighbors will get to know us, as we get to know them.

Want to help?
Can you provide transportation for these families?
Can you help with translation assistance (working knowledge of Arabic, Farsi, Spanish or Swahili)?
Are you available to help set-up and/or clean-up?

Please let us know if you can help!

We will be collecting warm winter clothing (of all shapes and sizes) to share with our guests at the dinner, and with other refugee families who have recently been settled nearby. Please consider cleaning out your closets, or collecting at your work, school or community.

In addition, we will have collection bins for:

new or very gently used toys
and
some commonly needed new household items:
shampoo and conditioner
toothbrushes and toothpaste
towels
alarm clocks
can openers
laundry detergent
men's razors
deodorant (men's and women's)
