Annette Mitchell was named Springbrook Nature Center's volunteer of the year. Annette has served on the Springbrook Nature Center Foundation board since 1998. As part of the SAVE SPRINGBROOK Campaign in 2003, Annette gathered together a team of volunteers to organize the first Spree, and has continued to be an active member of each Spree Committee for the last 14 years. Annette has served as Secretary of the SNCF Board and filled other major roles over the years. Congratulations Annette!

The windows in the exhibt gallery (old building) will receive new bird friendly glass at the end of February or beginning of March. The old windows had begun to leak, but fortunately, contingency funds raised by the SNCF for construction of the new interpretive center are sufficient to cover the costs.
