“We are all storytellers – we make stories to make sense of our lives. But ... there must be someone to listen. If you can’t tell your story you go mad.”
Stephen Grosz, The Examined Life

Dear Friends

Spring is round the corner and we’re just back from three weeks in India, full of energy for our 2017 Workshop Programme! Here's an update on what we've got for the months ahead. Plus a reminder that there are still places on our Foundation Weekend, 11/12 March. That's in just two weeks' time.
Sarah Limbering up in Goa - last year she added yoga teacher to her CV!
We’re about to refresh the website (watch this space). Meanwhile we’ve started asking people who’ve been on The Stories We Tell weekends to tell us about their experience on camera. Here’s the first interview and there’ll be more to follow.
Playwright Lesley Wilson talks about her experience of The Stories We Tell.
We’ve got three Foundation Weekends this year in leafy Birnam. They’re an opportunity to take stock of what matters most in life and how to live accordingly. Titled Appreciating Who I Am, they’re also about being truer and kinder to yourself. The next one is in two weeks' time: 11/12 March — places still available.
Appreciating Who I Am: "It was a moment that shaped me for sure."
In June we’re going back to Cortijo Romero for more Life Stories In The Sun. This is a week-long residential version of the Foundation weekends, in a glorious setting among the white Alpujarras villages of Spain's Sierra Nevada. 17-24 June  Bookings via Cortijo Romero direct.
Life Stories In The Sun: "One of the very best courses I have done."
We also have two Special Topic Weekends. In Through The Looking Glass we look at how you can gain greater personal insight through an understanding of symbolism and metaphor. In If Not Now When we ask if you’re leading life according to your heart’s wisdom and invite you to seize the day!

For people who have already done a Foundation weekend we have two Advanced Weekends. Titled Living Life To The Full, these workshops are about work-life balance, the inner critic, creativity (whatever that means for you), and how to bring spontaneity and play into our lives.

And finally, after two fantastic years with our Advanced Residential Week in Sardinia, it's time for a change and we have a lovely new venue. Os Figueiros is a rustic retreat on the border of the Aveyron and Tarn departments of southwest France.
Os Figueiros: peace and seclusion in the French countryside.
The Stories We Tell workshops are all about connection, direction, purpose and creativity. People come for all sort of reasons: some for professional development, some for personal support and insight at moments of change, others simply out of curiosity or a sense that something could be different.
"You two are life-changers!"
We hope we might see you at one of our weekends or residentials this year!

With all best wishes

Jamie and Sarah
