Hello!

The rain is beginning to taper off, the hills are green, and the pastures are dotted with newborn lambs. The most wonderful time at the farm is upon us - lambing and kidding season has officially begun! Along with welcoming these new babes to the farm, we would also like to welcome some incredible humans to our farm and creamery teams:

Cameron Davis + Holly de Pfyffer - Assistant Herd Manager + Gardener
Jenny Mackenzie - Assistant Cheesemaker
Sarah Rainey - weekly volunteer
Aliyah Trimble - volunteer through the TEAM project at Temiscal High School which is part of the Tamalpais Union School District

We are so happy to have such a great team as we quickly approach our busiest time of year!
Farm
68 out of our 84 bred ewes have lambed so far this season, which means lots of adorable lambs and lots of buttery milk.  Our pregnant does are growing by the day with the first group due in the next couple of weeks.  This is a beautifully chaotic time of year on the farm and we are so proud of our amazingly hardworking team for working through it seamlessly!
Creamery
The milk production is increasing daily, which means lots of hard work in the creamery too.  Head Cheesemaker, Ashley, is kicking into high gear as she prepares to go from three make days per week to six! Ashley, Jenny and Sharon will be making all of your TFC favorites with the recent addition of bulk chevre for our chef friends.

Lambing coupled with the serious amount of rain we have received has made things difficult, but fearless Herd Manager Hannah, has kept everything moving smoothly!
We are still offering private tours and tastings for groups of 8 or more as well as private cheese making classes for groups of 6 or more. Please email us at tolumafarms@gmail.com if interested.
We are so thankful for all of the rain we have gotten this winter. Lush pastures and an overflowing water supply make the wet work days worth it!
