Reading Week

The Faculty of Arts and Science holds a February Reading Week every year, but the School of Graduate Studies does not, and its left to the discretion of each program to decide if they want to hold a reading week or not. Due to guest discussant bookings we made back in August we will be holding MSC1000 during the reading week (Feb 20-24) on Tuesday February 21st.  Though there will be no KMD1002 or MSC2021 that week, nor will there be an Applied IP module class that week.

Program Pub Hangout - Thursday March 2nd

We had a great time last month at the Upper Deck, so we will endeavour to do an informal gathering on the last Thursday of every month, next one Thursday March 2nd (since the last Thursday of Feb is reading week) at 4:30pm (second years will join after their capstone meeting).  Come by, meet your classmates and get to know the other cohort.  Upper Deck, 20 College St.

Present your work at IMS Scientific Day!

The Annual IMS Scientific Day is the academic highlight of the year. It is designed to highlight student achievements, teaching excellence and provide opportunities for students to work on presentation skills as well as encourage students and faculty to interact. The event includes oral and poster presentations, an awards ceremony and a keynote lecture. All faculty and students are encouraged to attend.

Please see here for information on how to participate in Scientific Day 2017. It includes important information on the Laidlaw Manuscript Competition, the Alan Wu Poster Competition, the Data Blitz Student Talks, Faculty Award Nominations and more.

* Please note that presenting your work at IMS Scientific Day is not a requirement of the TRP degree, but would still be a great opportunity to present your capstone project *
