Dear Friends, Colleagues and Partners

The beginning of 2017 started with a flurry of DRM activity at least on three continents.

The Indian round table opened by the Minister of Information and Broadcasting was followed by the Broadcasting Engineering Conference, BES . DRM was strongly represented and Hyundai graced it with their latest model incorporating a DRM receiver. Great work from NXP and their collaborators in the Indian chipset and car industry! At the same time we received great news from Pakistan.

The final results of the DRM trial in Johannesburg in AM and the announcement of the imminent test in DRM for local coverage (DRM+) in Johannesburg too certainly put South Africa up there on the DRM map.

DRM was also present at European events in Geneva (EBU Digital Summit) and Paris.

Meanwhile preparations for more events, trials and workshops in the Asia-Pacific region keep all of us very busy.

Scrolling down you will get a lot of new and exciting information about all this and much more.

We also think very constantly of our next DRM Enterprise Award which we would like to make African in 2017. So please start working, writing and nominating.

If you have exciting news about you or you want your company to feature in the next Newsletter projectoffice@drm.org can tell you how!

Finally, please do not forget to join us on Twitter, YouTube and Flickr.

And if you want to join the Consortium please contact projectoffice@drm.org
