Happy New Year everyone! We are thrilled to be back and are planning for a sensational 2017! Thanks to all of you who helped make our 2016 launch such a great success. Our vision for the gallery was, and still is, to offer art that we love, by artists we love. Well, so far so good! As of today we represent over 50 artists from all over the country. Over two thirds of our artists are from the immediate area, the Pacific Northwest, and Southwest regions; and the rest from various parts of the US and Canada. In addition, we offer work by many other artisans from the US, as well as other countries. We are proud of our selection and quality, and love showcasing such phenomenal talent. So here we go!
Our first event of the season is Jack Seibold's exhibit, "Metal, etc." Jack will present an extensive body of work composed of found metal, wood, and other materials of his whim. Please join us for the opening reception on Friday, February 24, 2017 from 5-8 pm! Don't miss this unique opportunity to meet Jack and see his extraordinary sculptures.

THAT LOOKS SKETCHY . . . Seeking hand drawn media for fine art gallery exhibit. Any subject matter, color or black and white, will be considered. Our objective is to showcase this foundational medium in the form of finished drawings, studies, sketches rendered in pencil, charcoal, pen and ink, or a single implement. Gallery show will open on Friday, May 26, 2017
TO BE OR NOT TO BE . . . Seeking Shakespeare themed fine art for gallery exhibit to coordinate with the world renowned Utah Shakespeare Festival 2017 season. Work will be exhibited through the months of June, July and August, 2017. All media will be accepted for consideration including painting, drawing, printmaking, artists books, short films, jewelry and ceramics.
We have several new artists in the gallery and will be unveiling their work, as well as new work by your gallery favorites, during our March exhibit, opening on March 31, 2017. All of our artists bring something unique to their medium, and these artists are no exception. Be sure to mark your calendars! Welcome to the gallery: Sarah Hamingson, Nicholas Jenson, Scott C. Art Works is a fine art and fine crafts gallery located in gorgeous Cedar City, Utah. We are located at 16N 100W, a short block away from the Beverley Taylor Sorenson Center for the Arts—home to the acclaimed Utah Shakespeare Festival and the Southern Museum of Art (SUMA). We are in close proximity to several national parks and a short drive from Salt lake City and a shorter one from Las Vegas. Be sure to visit us when you are in the area!
