ANNOUNCING 12 NEW ACTS

Joining Neck, Stick in the Wheel, Indian Man, Hoopy Frood, One Eyed God, The Antipoet, Rosie Swayne and others...

Festival favourites KANGAROO MOON will woo you with their “psycheceltic folk fusion”, guaranteed to make you dance and dream.

Punk-disco-rave unit DOHNUT are back, to shake up complacency with wacky tunes and irresistible beats – check out their new vid, a mash-up of their 2016 gigs including supporting The Damned on tour and their GG debut on Soundscape Solar Stage, maybe catch a glimpse of yourself?

Combining drum’n’bass-trip-hop percussion with a singer-songwriter-bassist who’s into dance music, a flamenco guitarist, a conga player and a jazz pianist playing a Moog synthesizer or accordion... we're delighted to welcome back JABBA CARTEL;
their haunting melodies will keep you transfixed, the Latin dance rhythms will get you grooving.

THE DON BRADMANS - champions of "Chap Rock" - never fail to delight and bamboozle, not least when they choose to go on location around GG as in this hilarious little film.

FIREPIT COLLECTIVE emerged from a melting pot of trad folk, punk rock, reggae, world music, raves, free parties and campfires ‘before the advent of civilisation’… This is roots and culture rainy island style, played from the heart.

GURANFOE
play a psychedelic brew of jazzy rhythms and prog rock; a young band creating a sound that’s ferocious, freeing, cosmic and wistful.

SUNDARA fuse traditional folk music with Indian melodies and mantras and SIKA is always one of our favourite acts: a one man, international, multi-media magician wielding didjeridoo, drums, flutes, ambient grooves, loops and soundscapes.

Young singer-songwriter TERRY LOGAN's distinctive voice and lyrics have won her huge praise since launching her solo career at Hebden Bridge Roots Festival in 2016. Citing influences ranging from Nina Simone to Bob Marley, Amy Winehouse and Marvin Gaye, Terry's definitely one to watch - and enjoy listening to.

On the Raconteurs’ Stage JENN HART’s poems will drag you through life, love and being a woman in punk… while CLARE FERGUSON WALKER cracks you up with observational dry standup, interspersed with caustic yet heartfelt poetry… and travelling singer-songwriter PHIL CUDWORTH invites you to have a listen to his take on life.

The Gathering is far more than its fabulous music; watch out for news coming soon!

See you in the fields...

The Green Gathering is a festival and an education,
an interactive showcase of renewable energy and off grid solutions... all powered by wind, sun and people.

There's live music, acoustic sessions, poetry slams, comedy, dance, storytelling, interactive art, kids and teens activities, permaculture, traditional healing, ancient wisdom and crafts, campaign stalls, and 100s of practical skillshares geared to sustainable futures.

The Green Gathering has a history entwined with the Green and Peace movements, Glastonbury Festival, Stonehenge and Climate Camp. The original solar-powered festival has been through ups and downs, grown big, been busted, and gone back to its roots...
Past & Future

Authentically uncommercial and family friendly, our aim is to turn people on to low impact living.

GG is a festival beyond hedonism, for people who love the earth enough to want to celebrate it, and save it. It's a place to party - then wake up and put the world to rights!

The festival is produced by a Community Interest Company, and overseen by the Green Gathering Charity which aims to keep the spirit of the Gatherings true, while educating for sustainability and  empowering us to create a better future. The GG Charity
