3 kids

Life with 3 kids is fun! Clarice is now sleeping through the night and has become quite the smiling girl. We enjoy her very much. Our family is slowly adjusting to this new life, although the season is very busy and tiring. Sophia is still on a break from French lessons, yet continues to progress.

3 families, 3 continents

What a joy to receive the visit of my two closest friends though seminary with their families. Thomas and his wife Dany now serve in Zimbabwe, and Mark and his wife Jess serve in Brazil. We managed to share our small apartment for the 12 of us for 10 days. A fun challenge! The fellowship was very profitable and refreshing. It also gave us an opportunity to do some tourism, and for Sophia to visit Paris for the first time.

OK, maybe I went over a few minutes. I had the opportunity to lead communion at a service for all the evangelical churches of Lyon. It was quite the privilege!

3 books

That’s the challenge for this year. My book on resolutions should come out hopefully before the summer. I have been helping Florent Varak to write a book on preaching, and it should also come out this year. Then starting this summer I will be writing a book on worship with a co-author who teaches worship at the Geneva Bible Institute.

3^rd church plant

We recently joined the Bible study in the Caluire area with the hope to begin our 3^rd church plant in the Fall. It’s exciting and daunting at the same time! The service at our church on Sunday was completely packed, and we are looking forward to see how we can spread the truth in different areas of Lyon. Our greatest joy continues to be the sight of people being impacted by the preaching by God's Word.
