I’d like to share my first works of 2017 with you, ‘The Art of The Spiel’  &  ‘Lily Pulitzer’s Prize’. While the paintings are stand alone pieces they are presented in a playful installation entitled ‘Hole in One'.  I’ve created an environment to connect the creatures back to the paintings and to invite you into my world. As the creatures and sculptures originate with the paintings, the installations are a way to expand on and explore narratives within the work.
The new pieces were selected by invited curator Jane Hart to be featured in Art Florida 2017: Curators Choice, an exhibition that brought together 7 top curators in South Florida and their choices of artists to keep an eye on.  I'm excited about the new work so it was an honor to have artist, arts critic and writer Bruce Helander introduce and champion my work at The Box Gallery VIP reception.
