Avoid 'Apply Sparingly'

Radiology Referrals

Just to let you know that there are some changes to the electronic radiology referral process and this will go live later this week.

This has come about from feedback from GPs and radiologists about how to improve these forms. A lot of these changes are minor adjustments to the existing forms making the process easier for both parties.

As a reminder it is important to put as much relevant clinical information into these referrals so the radiologist can grade accordingly. On the new forms it has become mandatory to put this information under the clinical details tab of the form.

Health Housing Initiative for Children aged 0-5

As we know poor housing can have a significant impact on health. Please click here to see how you can help eligible patients access support to either improve their existing housing or find new housing. The eligibility criteria are all included in the information and there are links to patient information and a referral form.

This is the first time that this service has been publicised to general practice. It will take a few minutes to read through everything but the potential impact for whanau is significant, so please do take the time. If you have any questions about the service, or feedback about the information and referral form then do get in touch. Alternatively you can find the information under Referrals & Advice > Child Health on the Bay Navigator website.
