Pastor Keith's E-Note:
Flood warning! Pack up- Go back- but be ready!
What a week it has been for many of our friends, family and neighbors. At times we wondered if the dam would hold, or what devastation a break would cause. It's clear that for many this week has been a real challenge.
The church has been busy as usual. It was so much fun to see the lights on for the choir in one part of the building, while pajama clothed CCK families gathered for ice cream and a movie.
Walk around the church this Sabbath and take note of the trees that have been trimmed, and yes, six removed. We are trying to keep the roofs in good shape, (trees hanging over the roofs have caused damage), and also we needed plenty of space for you to drive around the back lot without trees clipping your car s.
Special thanks to all of you who have supported the blanket and socks program at Community Services, these gifts have been deeply appreciated, especially in this year's cold weather.
It is Presidents weekend and many will be traveling. Be safe, and we look forward to seeing you soon.
In closing let me share with you how powerfully you all impressed our visitors from PUC! They loved being here, found you all to be kind and encouraging. The food was great! But once more the spirit of this place blessed our guests, and I thank you for creating such a warm inviting church community.
Blessings.
See you Sabbath.
Keith
