Professor Jamila Khatoon Adam, Head of DUT’s Biomedical and Clinical Technology Department, has made a significant contribution to medical science in South Africa over 30 years.
Now 65, she continues to empower aspirant young students. Adam was born on August 8, 1951 and grew up in Overport, Durban.
DRAMA ALUMNUS TAKES UP RESEARCH RESIDENCY IN GERMANY
Former DUT Drama and Production Studies student, Mthokozisi Zulu has jetted off to Germany where he is invited to be one of the participants at the Starke Stücke Festival’s Next Generation Workspace – International Research Residency.
Zulu, who graduated cum laude in 2012, recently left for the Western European country so he can first attend the 67th Berlin International Film Festival; before taking up residency in Frankfurt as part of the next generation workshop team.

BUSINESS NETWORKING AND MORE AT INVOTECH BUSINESS BREAKFAST
Sharing experiences, ideas and networking was the order of the day at the 5th Invotech Business Breakfast held by DUT based business incubator, Invotech, at the Elangeni Hotel earlier this week.
Invotech is an innovation and technology business incubator that is supported by DUT and funded by the Small Enterprise Development Agency (SEDA).
Radio DUT, the official in-house radio station of the Durban University of Technology, contributed to a vibrant start to the year at the University through its Back to Campus initiative.
The campaign forms part of the various initiatives by RadioDUT to create and share opportunities available to students.
