Dear Friends,
 
2017 is shaping up to be a year of firsts for Cornerstone Presbyterian Church in Huntsville, Alabama. Our women just got back from their first ever women's retreat and were challenged and encouraged on resting in Christ. Our men will go on their first men's retreat in about six weeks. We will send out our first short-term mission team this summer. These are all wonderful firsts that God will use to extend His kingdom and grow His church.

I want to encourage all men, 18 and up, to consider joining us on March 31 and April 1 as we go to Camp Maranatha on Lake Guntersville to be challenged and to fellowship. John Hinson, Shep Park and I will engage our men regarding The Core of a Godly Man. We will explore the foundations of who and what God has called us to be as men and the tools He provides us on how we strengthen that core. Interestingly, you will get to hear from three generations of men who are striving to love God and walk with Him. 

Please go ahead and make time in your schedules as this will be a wonderful time to unplug and connect with other men in the church. If you have any questions, please let me know or contact Bob Boerner.

Announcements

Youth Group Outing - The Compassion Experience - Saturday, February 25th.  We will meet at the church at 4:30pm.  This is an immersive exhibit that allows us to experience the developing world without leaving Huntsville.  More information is available at compassionexperience.com.  Please e-mail Jessica to reserve your spot at jessica@cornerstone-pres.org.

New Members Class - If you are interested in joining or learning more about Cornerstone, please join us on Sunday, February 26th, 4-8p at the home of Shep and Beverly Park, 339 Forrest Hills Dr., Brownsboro, AL 35741. Dinner will be provided. Please register by filling out the Sign Up portion of the Connect Card. The class is open to junior and senior high students as well. 

Foundations -  Foundations is from 5-7pm.  Dinner is served at 5:15pm. This week’s dinner will be pasta, along with the weekly salad bar.  Cost is $5/person or $15/family.  Please make your reservation with the Connect Card.  If you would be willing to help serve during dinner this week, please contact Gail Kimrey at kimrey6@comcast.net. 

Cornerstone Men’s Retreat - March 31-April 1 at Camp Maranatha on Lake Guntersville. Cost: $65 (lodge room with 2 men, 2 queen beds and 3 meals) or $40 (cabin with bunks and 3 meals). Check-in will begin Friday at 5pm with dinner at 6pm.   Topic: The Core of a Godly Man. The retreat will conclude with lunch on Saturday, but the camp will be available the rest of the day for those who might want to fish, relax, etc.  Registration will begin Sunday. 

VBS - Save The Date!  Vacation Bible School will be June 19-22, 2017.
