General Meeting March 26th at 1pm in the Clubhouse

The board needs money that is beyond the current budget for immediate road and water expenses. They will present two proposals.

  1. $22 per month increase over 3 years to pay for urgent roads and water projects.
  2. $7 per month increase to build up the emergency fund balance.

You have witnessed the slips and fallen trees. It takes time and resources to deal with keeping our roads safe.

Shortly after Tyler Boswell's passing late last fall, Miles Farmer of Cypress Water Services has been working to maintain our water supply plus update and automate our system.

Overall, it appears we need about $110k for immediate or emergency road and water projects. Plus, the emergency fund has been seriously depleted.

It's been a wild winter, as you well know. See you all at the meeting.

Owners must either attend or arrange to provide a proxy. We need a quorum of owners to vote on the two proposals

Please plan to attend this Emergency General Meeting
March 26th 1pm at the Club House

Regular Water Board Meetings

You are invited to attend the meeting. Bring your ideas, suggestions, and comments. As a community we have a lot of different projects to manage, plus a long list of park improvements. Many hands makes for light work - get involved.

The next meeting is March 9th in the club house starting at 7:30pm.

The meetings are typically the 2nd Thursday of each month. Check the events calendar online for details.

Ideas and Suggestions

Ted Hernandez posted "A Bit of Chemeketa Park History" the other day on NextDoor.com [now with 148 members from Chemeketa Park], which got me thinking a regular history note in the newsletter may a nice feature.

Since my history only goes back so far, maybe someone is willing to contribute bits of history for the newsletter. Let me know by simply replying to this message.

Geri Markey has been regularly posting contact and trouble reporting sites (road repairs for example) on NextDoor.com.

Maybe we should collect this information and create a one page, printable, emergency contact list. Something you can post inside a kitchen cabinet door, just in case. Or, maybe we could create a set of downloadable contacts for you phone or computer. If you'd like to take on this project, hit reply and let me know.

If you have an idea to improve life here in the park, let me know. Let's get the discussion and action going.

The newsletter is just getting started. It's another way we can stay in touch, share ideas, and improve life in the park.

The email list is for the quarterly newsletter plus occasional announcements for residents, owners, or renters.
