Widmer Bradfield Trophy 2017y
18- 19th February

HRTC's premier Inter-Club fixture versus the Ballarat Tennis Club was played on February 18th and 19th with some incredible matches being fought out over the course of the weekend. Many of the matches went nearly three hours and although it was a Ballarat win by five matches to one - most of the matches were particularly close and our boys did us proud! Class 7 Doubles Club Championships 2017 February 25/26

Our Class 7 Doubles Club Championships for handicaps 70 and above was played last weekend with six teams battling it out in a main and plate event over the two days. It was a most impressive sign for our young juniors who played in the event - and it was our "young guns" of Sam Legg and Alex Rackham that came through unseeded to take out the victory in the main draw. Congratulations also go to Sally and Paul Crosby who were victorious in the plate event. Match results as follows:

Half Price Lessons | Saturday March 4th

This Saturday HRTC will be offering several courts for lessons at half the normal rate ($25 instead of $50). Brett will be working and members interested in continuing the lessons they have had - or having one for the first time should take up the opportunity on a discounted hour. Available times are as follows and will be offered on a first come first served basis

HRTC 2017 Club Championship Events

March 1st will see HRTC's Singles Club Championship events kick off. All members will have recently received information regarding these events - so make yourselves aware of the format and rules prior to commencement. Those of you wishing to play in the grade above the one you would ordinarily qualify for are most welcome to do so and should use the link below to notify the pros.

HRTC is soon to send two teams to Melbourne to play our annual Percy Finch inter-club event. We are looking to fill both an A and B team and are currently still looking for a few players. Our confirmed team list at present is:

HRTC Juniors Singles 2017 | Sunday March 19th

Our annual Junior event will be held at the Club on Sunday March 19 and this year we hope to make it bigger and better than ever. Age cut-off will be 26 and under as of March 19 and we encourage all Hobart juniors to get involved. A free BBQ will be put on for all involved and this year we plan to invite juniors from the other two Australian Clubs as well. Call the Club or use the link below to join in the fun
