The Digital Schoolhouse powered by PlayStation is a pioneering initiative that's proven to improve the quality of teaching and learning and pupil attainment for computing. The programme is delivered by Ukie (UK Interactive Entertainment), the trade body for the UK video games industry and is powered by PlayStation. The Digital Schoolhouse aims to inspire and engage teachers and students with creative computing and the wider creative digital industries using play-based learning. Collaborating with organisations such as the BBC, Disney, Intel, Apps for Good, BAFTA, Gfinity, 505 Games and others enables us to bridge the gap between education and industry to prepare the learners of today for the jobs of tomorrow.
Our Digital Schoolhouses benefit from participation in unique and pioneering events to help not just raise the profile of computing but also invaluable and inspirational careers education. Our eSports Tournament for schools currently being held is the first of its kind in the UK. With over 400 students taking part from Digital Schoolhouses across the country, the tournament is already making its mark.
Headteachers are talking about the numerous benefits that the Digital Schoolhouse programme brings to their schools. Join them and register your interest today to become a Digital Schoolhouse.
