A look back at 2016- before and after of some of the projects.
I thought it may be a good idea to show case some of our projects from 2016 (sorry couldn't fit all of them in!)
I know that we often get a lot of positive feedback about before and after photos of gardens. So I thought I would show before and after photos with a little summary of the project.
I haven't been able to show all areas of the gardens, rather I have shown snapshots of one area but it gives you a good idea of how the gardens were transformed.
Hope you enjoy!

The client had a long thin garden with no feature. The client's sister had drawn up a plan with a curved winding path.
We installed a brick edged, curved, shingle path with brick stepping stones leading to a new log store shed on a new base.
The client had a partially sloping garden and had used a local garden designer to re-design the space.
We sorted out the levels and installed a new lawn with autumn brown sandstone patio and the main feature of a sunken patio circle.
The client approached us as they had recently purchased a new build property with a muddy and wet garden!
We installed drainage, a new raj green sealed sandstone patio, new trellis' and artificial lawn. A lovely long new Woodblocx raised bed was also installed. (The garden looks beautiful now it is planted)
The client had a mixed area of old block paving, old decking and the old base of a lean to.
We installed a new oak coloured composite deck with softwood balustrade, privacy screening, gates and new pergola.

The client had an old softwood deck and balustrade that they wanted replacing.

We installed a new brick edged shingle filled steps, autumn brown sandstone patio and raised brick bed with autumn brown sandstone coping.
This client had a few planned changes to the garden that they wanted to do in phases. Phase 1 being space for the children to play.
We installed a new sleeper surrounded artificial grass play area which the client later put a play house on.
After installing this client's front garden the previous year, the client returned to us to re-landscape their back garden.
We installed a new raj green sandstone patio with a raised area at the back for the client to enjoy the sun.
This client in Ashtead wanted their front and back garden re-designed. They had ideas what they wanted and so we got to work...
The front garden was transformed into a low maintenance area with new fencing, artificial grass and porcelain pavers with white stones.
The back garden needed a new patio and again artificial grass as the client wanted to minimise mud coming in the house.
The back matched the front with new porcelain paving and lush artificial grass.
The client needed a large patio area spreading between a garage and their house. Clearance and a new lawn and fence.
We installed a new mint sandstone patio, new deck around at a different part of the house, new fencing and lawn.
The client approached us as they had a small back garden that needed redesigning.
We installed low maintenance artificial grass, painted fences, installed new raised beds and relaid and cleaned their old patio.
The client had previously had the garden designed many years ago but wanted a refresh of the materials.
We installed a new sealed kota brown limestone patio, new walls and edging and new lawn.
Having seen our work in their neighbour's garden (the sunken patio circle), this client instructed us to redesign and build their garden.
The client wanted lower maintenance, so we got rid of the slope and installed a new brick retaining wall, artificial lawn area and new large autumn brown sandstone patio.

The client approached us as they needed more space to park cars on their drive and wanted a more modern look.
We installed a new grey resin bound aggregate driveway, new lighting and planting in a grey rendered raised bed.
The client contacted us as they wanted a bigger patio and needed to take down some raised beds.
New autumn brown sandstone patio installed and later we also re-turfed the garden.
The client had a few areas in the garden that needed work. One area was a new raised patio that needed to be built.
New raised patio built with grey sandstone paving and setts.
The client approached us with a large wild area of their garden that needed a complete clearance and returfing.
Area cleared...... and turfed.
Rather than a before and after, this is a previous client whose garden we landscaped in 2015 and the client contacted us to install a new water feature on part of the curve of their artificial grass.
Close up of the water feature with granite sett surround.
The client had a plain, mossy garden that needed to be more interesting and have structure to it with a new patio.
We installed a new porcelain patio, new arbour area with new pathway and patio circle. We also installed artificial grass and flower beds.
The garden could be enjoyed at night as well as in the day with the scots pines being lit up and new lighting installed making a feature of trees and the beautiful arbour.
The client had a small garden that needed to be more child friendly and used all year round.
We installed new artificial grass, new raised bed planter seat and new mint sandstone patio.
The garden was previously over 100 square metres of old block paving. The client had the garden redesigned by a local designer.
This is just one area of the new garden- raised beds from softwood sleepers and new autumn brown paving.
We hope that you have gained some inspiration from these before and after images and look forward to sharing some of our projects from this year with you in the next newsletter.
