Welcome to Healthy Habits!

I hope you’re doing well. How did you get on with the 10 day kombucha challenge?  I’d love to hear your experiences.

Things have been very busy here at Raw Energy HQ, lots of exciting things going on as we continue to settle into Australian life. My sister, Maxine, and my eldest niece, Jodie, came to visit from the UK last week. It was wonderful showing them around Sydney. Plus, a big thing for me was starting to work with the team @ SumoSalad. 

If you’re outside of Australia, you're probably not familiar with the brand, but the clue is definitely in the name! SumoSalad is the largest salad company in the world and make it easier for very busy people to eat delicious, highly nutritious real food every day.  Their mission, to make the world healthier, is perfectly aligned with Raw Energy’s.

Today, though, I don’t want to talk about food for once. Instead, I'd like to focus on digital addiction. With the average person touching their smartphones 2617 times each day, it's a problem that many of us are facing!

However, where there’s a problem, there’s always a solution, and in response to all of this (arguably) unnecessary tapping, we’ve seen the growth of ‘device-free zones’, and the rise of the digital detox to help 'deviceaholics' claw back some of this time. Recipe of the week

This week's recipe is my germ-busting ginger and turmeric tea. There are lots of germs flowing around in the northern hemisphere at the moment because of the cold, and in the southern hemisphere because of the heat, so a daily dose of this delicious tea will give your resilience a real boost.
