February 24, 2017: Afraid to Speak
View this email in your browser
Dear <<First Name>>,

““But go, tell His disciples and Peter, ‘He is going ahead of you to Galilee; there you will see Him, just as He told you.’” They went out and fled from the tomb, for trembling and astonishment had gripped them; and they said nothing to anyone, for they were afraid.” Mark 16:7, 8, NAS95.

Many people live with a strange sense of dread for the future. Even if life is being lived at the fullest level and God's blessings are abundant, there is a little demonic voice that tells us that it is too good to be true.

The women at the tomb on the day of Christ's resurrection were astonished at the good news, but they were unable to declare it. They were afraid to speak because the news was too good to be true.

There is a wonderful principle for us here. The good news that Jesus is doing in our life is not fragile. It will not break with confession or proclamation. If you are doing well in your life, declare it. If you are enjoying peace, declare it. If you are free in your spirit, declare it. The reason is clear. Others need to know that they are next to hear God's good news.

Whether your life is too good to be true or down in the dumps, know that God is doing a work that supersedes the death we experience. Go ahead. Don't hold it in. His goodness will continue to go on and on.

Have a wonderful day.

Friday

Love,

Pastor Stuart
