Yongin Chapter Teacher-Renewal Seminar

The Yongin Chapter is sponsoring a four-part teacher-renewal seminar featuring Parker Palmer's book The Courage to Teach. This series aims to do the following:

  • Explore the inner landscape of a teacher;
  • Refocus on the connection between our own identity and integrity as it relates to the learning process;
  • Create a safe space for professionals on the front lines;
  • Share our "universe" with other professionals;
  • Discuss the possibilities for student-centered, holistic education in contexts that are often far from ideal.

An organizational meeting will be held on March 11 following the Yongin Chapter workshop. For additional information, please click here.

Experienced Teachers Sought for Classroom Observation Program

The Membership Committee is seeking members who have been teaching for 3+ years and who are willing to open their classrooms to other KOTESOL members, or who are willing to observe a fellow member and provide requested feedback on his/her teaching. If you're willing to do either one, please join our database! Just fill out this volunteer form. (If you've filled it out in the past, you don't need to do so again.)

When a member contacts us seeking to observe or be observed by someone with your particular characteristics (age/level of learners, province, etc.), we'll put them in touch with you. You can work with that person directly to find a time and date that is convenient for both of you.

If you're a current member who would like to be paired up with an experienced teacher to observe or be observed, fill out this request form.
