For our Neighbour Day Community Cake

Neighbour Day is Australia’s annual celebration of community, encouraging people to connect with those who live in their neighbourhood, and in Dulong we'll be holding a Community Morning Tea 'On the Verge', corner Dulong & Thrushs Road on Sunday 26 March 2017 @ 10.00am.

It’s time to think about a positive community message our
Community Mud Cake!

In 2016, the message chosen was
“Sharing and Caring”.

Why a Mud Cake?
Dulong is an Aboriginal word meaning “mud” or “wet clay” (SCRC, Libraries 2017)

Thanks to Cr Greg Rogerson, for paying for the cake again this year.
Supplied by the Mapleton Bakery.

Sunshine Coast Spoken Word ... a message from Archie ...

"My old mates Possum and Tango are electrifying wordsmyths whether performing one of their mesmerising duets or casting solo spells. They've won a swag of awards, and are very bad women of the best kind. Give yourself a treat and c'mon down. Bring your own piece for our open mic. All welcome from wirgins to pros. I can recommend a fine lunch beforehand at the beautiful Homegrown Cafe."

Ten easy steps to happier living

We’re constantly bombarded with messages about what makes for a good life. Advertisers tell us it comes from owning and consuming their products. The media associate it with wealth, beauty or fame. And politicians claim that nothing matters more than growing the economy. But do any of these things really bring lasting happiness?
