“He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or epochs which the Father has fixed by His own authority; but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.”” Acts 1:7, 8, NAS95.

Yesterday we talked about our vocation or calling to "see people" and to give them the "Jesus blessing." As we begin reading the book of Acts this week, the concept is once again reiterated to us by Jesus. To paraphrase, "Keep the main thing the main thing. Be animated by the Holy Spirit and let people see Jesus shine through you everywhere!" 

It begins with being open to the Holy Spirit's work in and through you. This is why we recommend and remind all sons and daughters to spend time with the Lord each day. Sit quietly and tell Him that you would love to have your eyes opened to opportunities to bless others in Jesus name today.

I trust that as we open ourselves each day to the opportunities that are presented to us, He will let His life shine through us. Be aware today. Is someone lonely? Is someone hurting? Is someone sick? Identify with them and share Jesus' heart with them. It's simple. They are waiting for Him. 

Let Jesus shine out of you today. I am awaiting your stories.
