Town of Louisburg – A Year in review
In 2016 the Town of Louisburg made great progress towards achieving economic viability, revitalizing downtown and improving quality of life.
The town…
- Was awarded roughly $5 Million in economic development funding for business expansion projects.
- Received over $1.5 Million in grant and loan funding for water and sewer projects.
- Received roughly $550,000 in grant and loan funding for facility upgrades and downtown revitalization projects.
- Completed sidewalk improvements on Perry, Main, Church, Sunset, Nash and Franklin Streets, while receiving an additional $270,000 for new sidewalks on Main Street from the hospital to Bickett Blvd.
- Completed three “Empty to Art” projects Downtown to showcase art and fill up empty store fronts.
- Completed the Louisburg Transit Study, the Hotel Feasibility Study and the Smart Sites Business Park Study, while receiving $13,000 for three more additional economic development studies in 2017.
- Completed the 1936 Opera House Mural in partnership with the Franklin County Arts Council and Louisburg College.
- Started developing its Strategic Economic Development Plan in partnership with the NC Dept. of Commerce.
Louisburg’s achievements for 2016 extend far beyond the list provided. We made strategic investments in infrastructure, built partnerships, adjusted for growth and made plans for the future. We accomplished a great deal, but there is more work to be done. I am looking forward to the accomplishments, the successes and the excitement that 2017 has to offer.

![]() The Town of Louisburg, in partnership with sponsors, will be hosting a Summer Concert Series downtown every third Friday of the month, May through September, in Downtown Louisburg from 6 pm - 9 pm.

- Ted Jones and the Tarheel Boys
- The Johnny Folsom 4
- The East Coast Rhythm and Blues Band.

Utility Payments – How can I pay my bill?
1. Payments can be made at Town Hall (110 W. Nash St. Louisburg, NC 27549) during business hours of 8:30 am – 5:00 pm. Monday through Friday.
- Cash/Check/Money Order
- Credit/Debit Card in office
- Interactive Voice Response- IVR #: 888-633-9408 ($5.00 Service Charge)
- Online Bill Pay – www.townoflouisburg.org ($5.00 Service Charge)
- Depository Box (located at Town Hall) available 24/7- Please No Cash
- Credit Card/Bank Draft (See Customer Service) (No Commercial Credit Cards)
- Mail (mail to: 110 W Nash St. Louisburg, NC 27549 Attn: Utilities)
2. Bills are mailed around the 25th of each month. Bills are due the 10th, Late fee of ($25.00) is applied on the 15th at 5:00 pm, if 15th falls on a weekend it will be applied at 5:00 pm on the following Monday.
3. Cut off is the 20th of each month. Disconnection will be on any delinquent account. Reconnection ($50.00) will not take place until the total bill and reconnect fee is paid.
4. If your bill shows a previous balance and current charge, Please pay all bills to a current status. |
