Missed our last event on supporting scaling up inclusively?
On 24 February, we hosted an event in partnership with the RSA exploring how we deliver on the national Scale-Up agenda, in a way that really works for the city-region - i.e. that growth benefits from being inclusive, while at the same time contributes to strengthening the social fabric and resilience. The panel included; Charlotte Alldritt - Director, RSA Inclusive Growth Commission, Marvin Rees - Mayor of Bristol, Irene Graham - CEO, The Scale Up Institute, Helen Simpson - Professor of Economics, University of Bristol and Chris Houghton - CFO, OVO Energy - Lloyds Bank National Business Awards winners 2016.

You can watch the video of the whole event or listen to the RSA's Inclusive Growth Commission final report launch today 7 March at 1.30 - 2.30 pm.

Our Director, Nick Sturge, has written a post about the event and how we can best support businesses to scale up inclusively.

New residents of Boxworks

Webb Yates Engineers are excited to have just opened our new Bristol office located at Boxworks. We are a civil and structural engineering practice with offices also in London, Birmingham and Dubai. Our portfolio ranges from residential to commercial projects, from aviation to public sector projects, and from the arts to prototyping. As well as the mainstream construction materials, such as timber, steel and concrete, we work with a wide selection of other more unusual materials, such as inflatables and loadbearing stone. Our new office at Boxworks reflects our attitude to using less conventional construction options perfectly and is the ideal base to launch our Bristol business from, it offers us a fantastic working space with capacity to grow our team along with excellent transport links around Bristol and further afield which are essential to our work.
