A full food room is a joy to behold! Right now, the room isn't quite so full. If you think it would be fun, feel free to hold a food drive at your office or for a few hours in front of Kroger or Food Lion. We would love to have some new food donations.
MBP will be a part of the 2nd Annual Cook Off at the NRV's Home Expo on March 11. The cooking team who wins the most votes from the judges and has the most money in their "pot" at the show will receive the $1,000 prize. One way to get money into the "pot" is to buy a ticket. If you would like to buy a ticket to the Expo for $5, please email Susan at hope@micahsbackpack.org. Ticket sales go into the pot to help MBP win. Go team MBP!
Wine, food, fun, and raising money and food for MBP. What a great combination! This year at the Fork and Cork Festival along with our big orange mobile backpack bus, MBP will have a giant backpack with shelves in it that need to be filled. We are asking businesses to contribute $200 worth of food that we put into the bags or $200 and we will buy the food. The food will go onto one of the "shelves" with the name of the business prominently displayed underneath. What a wonderful way to advertise your business and help feed hungry kids as well. New Delivery Opportunities
We have had some delivery opportunities open up on Friday mornings. Feel free to click on the links below and sign up if you have a few minutes to pick up bags at Saint Michael Lutheran Church on Thursday night or Friday morning and then drop off the bags to the school on Friday morning.
