We are kicking March off with another Opening Art Reception during Downtown’s First Fridays with Greg & LaRae’s Photography. Beautiful work of mixed media and photography. Join us on March 3^rd to meet the artists, view the exhibition and enjoy complimentary wine and cheese.
 
We also have our annual Wedding Fair on March 5^th from 1-3pm. This event is open and free to the public but we ask that you pre-register by calling or emailing Janelle at 605.271.9500. The fair will feature Caterers, Florists, Photographers, DJ’s, Event Planners, and more! Cash bar will be available.
 
If you are feeling spring fever a bit early this year and need an opportunity to get out and create, we have classes covered for the adults in March! As always, we have Craft Night, the first Wednesday of the month. March’s Craft Night we will be decorating terra cotta pots. If your feeling extra artsy, we will be offering Watercolor Exploration and Art Journaling for Everyone the night of March 14^th   for teens and adults.  Chalk Pastel Spring Chicken will be another class that will be taught be Tara Barney of Red Door Creations.
 
We will be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day one day early on Thursday, March 16^th. We always have a blast celebrating all types of Holidays at the Museum with crafts and storytimes for the kids.
 
Along with our regular free kids activities we will have special kid’s classes this month of Story & Craft and Afterschool Art. On March 27th, Sioux Falls School District will not have school, so we will have your families’ entertainment at the Museum of Visual Materials with extra activities and planned crafts for our Activity Day.

As a reminder, we have free kids’ activities Monday – Wednesday from 9am-4pm. Offices are open Thursdays and Fridays. Greg & LaRae Photography are the featured artists in the Main Gallery until the end of April. Our showcase exhibition has been in transition but are excited to announce our new exhibit, Vintage Vinyl will be ready for viewing Monday, March 6^th. A collection of records from every decade!
