Work will begin on building the roundabout island next week!
Archaeological discovery!
Did you see the 100 plus year old drain the team uncovered last week? A team of archaeologists were called in to investigate after the drain was uncovered by a digger operator. The drain has been logged as a historical find, surveyed and photographed before it was covered and preserved for future generations.
The drain is thought to pre-date the turn of the 20th century.
The Lake Te Ko Utu gates have been carefully removed. They are currently being refurbished before they're installed at their new location later in the project.
