Senior Pastor Search—The Final Stretch

We are rounding the bend and heading into the final stretch of our senior pastor search process! In the coming weeks we will be wrapping up our face-to-face interviews and diligence process, and then meeting to debrief, discuss and deliberate on whom God would have for our church. We are praying, we are fasting, and we are relying on God to provide a clear path for us.

The following primary steps remain:
  1. Senior Pastor Search Committee selects a final candidate and recommends this candidate to the Pulpit Committee (comprised of non-staff Elders plus Amy Kling and Marianne Werschke).
  2. If approved, the Pulpit Committee recommends the candidate to the full Elder Board.
  3. If approved, the Elder Board will officially announce the candidate to the congregation, and invite him and his family to visit our church. The candidate will be introduced to the congregation, meet with staff, volunteer leaders, church family and other groups. He will preach one Sunday in all of our services.
  4. The following Sunday, church members will vote on the candidate.
The timeline for these steps is necessarily flexible as candidates have varying responsibilities and commitments that will influence our schedule. Thank YOU for your patience with us and the limited amount of information we have been able to share in this process. The good news is...

Membership Class

Saturday, March 11, 8:30–11:30am, NC180

Is it time to join our church family? We would LOVE to have you! Church membership is a great way to connect with others, get involved, and become a part of a larger family at EvFree. It’s easy, fun, and will help you grow in your faith!

Bring your questions and hear what membership is all about at our next membership class, Saturday, March 11 from 8:30–11:30m in NC180 (north campus.) By attending, you will meet others just like yourself, who are seeking friendships, wanting to get connected, are interested in serving, in need of prayer, or just wanting to understand how the church operates.

Although church membership isn’t a requirement to attend, participate, or grow at EvFree, it does represent a symbolic way to “put your stake in the ground” and acknowledge “this is my family.” In short, membership at EvFree is about creating relationships within the body of Christ while loving, growing and serving alongside each other. Church membership also provides you an opportunity to vote on church matters, including the new senior pastor.

Join us, and let’s take this journey together! Learn more here and register here or via the EvFree App. Contact Cheri Ross at cheri.ross@evfreefullerton.com for more info.
