Led by Rev. Anya Johnston and Worship Associate Jeff Marsh
When our days feel fragmented, or too busy, or too lonely, how can we bring our whole self into the moment? We have both head and heart in our religious heritage and there may be a way to draw on that for our personal lives.

Plant Based Potluck
The next meeting of the UUCK Plant-Based Affinity Group will be held Friday, March 3 in Fessenden Hall. We'll have our potluck meal at 6:30 PM -- please bring a plant-based/vegan dish to share. Your contribution can be as simple as a bowl of fresh fruit or a plate of steamed broccoli. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact one of us.

Trish McLoughlin (trishmcloughlin@aol.com)
The Patricia Pownall UU Book Group will be meeting on Thursday, March 9 at 7 pm in Founder’s Lounge at the church. Come ready to share all your winter “good reads” and give us some ideas for future book group reads. In April we will be reading I Am Abraham (a novel of Lincoln and the Civil War) by Jerome Charyn. If you have any questions you may contact Bonnie Harper at harper1721@yahoo.com. All are welcome.
Family Game Night
Friday, March 10 6:30- 9 PM in Fessenden Hall. Could you use more fun in your life? How about time with friends? Join us for an evening of table games at the church! We'll bring options for any age and skill level - from complex strategy and cooperative play to simple classic board games for kids. Bring a favorite game or bring a friend! Bring a snack to share - or not! It's a low stress, relaxed evening. Contact Amanda or Andrew Rome with questions.
The Youth Group thanks everyone who supported our Truffle Sale! We hope you enjoyed the chocolate. Because of your purchases and donations, we will be donating $45 to Planned Parenthood in Kent and putting $69 in our account to fund future activities.
We'd also like to let our church community know what we're up to. We've been working on forming a youth-led youth group, with adult members that support and guide us. The group is for everyone in grades 7-12, and members plan social events, social justice activities and fundraising projects that build community and develop leadership skills. We've also been building a relationship with the Akron UU Youth Group, and invite them to our events, and some of our members attend their events.
We are Kent UU'th! During our overnighter we elected the following members into leadership positions:
Youth Co-Chair: David Homsher
Youth Co-Chair: Helena Esparza
Secretary: Vonn Wheatley
Treasurer: Gwyn Mack
Social Media Coordinator: Cameron Mack
Adult Co-Chair: Kim Homsher
Adult Co-Chair: Laura Luster
Adult Treasurer: Jeff MacMonigal
Adult Advisor: Lily Rapapport

This Sunday, February 26 we will take our annual special collection in support of the Minister’s Discretionary Fund (MDF). This annual collection will “refuel the fund" which is used to support our members and friends through difficult times throughout the year. In addition to the February 26 special collection, donations to the fund can be made at any time thorough out the year by noting MDF on the memo line of your check. As always, your generosity is appreciated. Thank you.
