Welcome to my second newsletter!

Since my last newsletter, I have revealed three new covers for my books - most excitingly, the UK cover of my next novel, The Loneliest Girl in the Universe. Here it is in all its foiled, shining glory:

The central radiation from her body is going to be silver foil, and I’ve got a printed version and the effect is absolutely STUNNING

The book is a romantic psychological thriller set in space and will be published by Walker Books in the UK and Australia on 7th September 2017. It's already been featured on Book Riot

It’s up for preorder already: Amazon UK | Waterstones | Wordery | Book Depository

And here’s the blurb:

Can you fall in love with someone you’ve never met, never even spoken to – someone who is light years away?

Romy Silvers is the only surviving crew-member of a spaceship travelling to a new planet, on a mission to establish a second home for humanity. Alone in space, she is the loneliest girl in the universe until she hears about a new ship which has launched from Earth with a single passenger on board. A boy called J.

Their only communication is via email and due to the distance between them, their messages take months to transmit. And yet Romy finds herself falling in love.

But what does Romy really know about J? And what do the mysterious messages which have started arriving from Earth really mean?

Sometimes, there’s something worse than being alone…

I hope you love the cover, and I absolutely cannot wait for you all to read Romy’s story. Six months to go!

For any bloggers, proofs are going to available from Walker Books in a few months. Keep an eye on my social media for more information.

Watch me discuss The Loneliest Girl in the Universe here, and read a short extract below.

I’ve been alone on this spaceship since my parents died. The last time I hugged someone, smelled their shampoo, or even just spoke to them face to face, was the 25th of April, 2064. Four years ago. Right now I’m officially further away from any other human being than anyone else has been since the evolution of the species.

I’m pretty sure I’ve forgotten what other people feel like. When I dream, I dream in screens. A line of text, a voice in my ear. Nothing real.

The things people take for granted – like seeing the sky, walking on soil, feeling the wind on your skin – well, I’ve never experienced any of that. I was born on The Infinity. I’ve only ever known its clean white walls; its sterilised atmosphere and artificial gravity; its low grey rooms, curving around the ship’s hull.

I circle the same small space over and over every day, and nothing changes and nothing is different.

I also shared the American edition of The Next Together, which has a slightly different version of the existing cover, with Kate and Matt watching the sunset in the bottom right corner.

US bloggers - ARCs of The Next Together are now available! To request a review copy, please email publicity@skyhorsepublishing.com. The hardback edition by Sky Pony Press is released in June.
Another recent cover revealed is the Russian edition of The Next Together by Ripol Classic. The title translates to 'Love and Other Catastrophes'. This is the first edition which hasn't used the UK cover, and it's so cool seeing a different interpretation! (Katherine's ginger hair 😍)
