PA eHealth AUTHORITY
The PA eHealth Partnership will host a series of two webinars to provide a brief overview of the Commonwealth’s statewide health information exchange, known as the Pennsylvania Patient and Provider Network (P3N).
Program Overview:
The Pennsylvania eHealth Partnership is responsible, under Act 76 of 2016, for the creation and maintenance of Pennsylvania’s secure health information exchange, known as the PA Patient & Provider Network, or P3N. This includes certification of Health Information Organizations (HIO) connecting to the P3N “hub,” maintenance of the patient opt-out and opt-back-in registry, and administration of grant programs to facilitate connections of health care providers to HIOs. The eHealth Partnership also works within the Department of Human Services and across selected state agencies to facilitate health care provider reporting to various state registries, including immunization, laboratory reporting, cancer, syndromic (disease) surveillance, and clinical quality measurement. The two educational webinars will provide an awareness of eHealth, P3N services, available grant dollars, and the local Health Information Organization community. Each webinar will provide the same information and will be focused on different audiences on each of the two days:
- Wednesday, March 22: Hospital/Acute Care & Ambulatory Providers
- Thursday, March 23: Post-acute/Long Term Care & EMS/Physician Providers
