THE NEW YORK WOMEN’S FOUNDATION
 
Ana Oliveira is the President and CEO of the New York Women’s Foundation, one of the largest women’s charitable organizations in the country that primarily supports underserved women and girls on issues of anti-violence and safety, economic security, and healthy, sexual rights and reproductive justice. A visionary leader, she has elevated the voices of countless communities served through the Foundation and we are honored to have her speak at our 28th Annual Benefit Gala.

YOUNGWOO ASSOCIATES

Margarette Lee is one of the two Principals at Youngwoo & Associates, LLC (“YWA”), a New York-based real estate investment and development firm.  YWA has developed over 8,000,000 square feet of real estate in the last 37 years – in the US and abroad. YWA has distinguished itself globally as a “creative powerhouse” by identifying niche markets, emphasizing innovative concept and distinctive designs that fit into and help define new lifestyles, and thereby obtaining the highest value in each project they develop.  Margarette has been working with the firm for the last 32 years as a partner and general counsel and is actively involved with the firm’s legal affairs, investor relations, financing as well as strategic planning.

JULIE CHI

Julie Chi is an Executive Director at Morgan Stanley. She oversees Client onboarding for Institutional Clients,  managing a team of data specialists located in New York, Baltimore, London, and Mumbai. Julie serves on the founding board of the MYSELFMYLIFE, LLC, the owner and developer of b.Me, a unique personal well-being data integration App. She is also a Principal at CMS Talent Management, an artist development company with a focus in urban music. She lives in Brooklyn with her two teenage daughters Emily and Olivia.

LAUREN U.Y. LEE, ESQ.

 
Lauren U. Y. Lee, Esq. has been actively supporting KAFSC for many years, serving on the benefit gala committee and providing pro bono counsel to several KAFSC clients seeking legal status under the Violence Against Women Act (“VAWA”). In 2007, Sanctuary For Families awarded her with its Pro Bono Advocacy Award for her VAWA work. Previous to joining KAFSC’s board, she served on the board of the Asian American Legal Defense And Education Fund.

MICHELLE LEE

 
Michelle has worked as a women's wear designer for over a decade at major labels in New York. More recently, Michelle transitioned to designing and making her own line of handcrafted jewelry, the proceeds of which are used to support several charities. Michelle is active in philanthropy and community services, including volunteering at multiple organizations devoted to women's and children's causes.

KATHARINE CHOI

Kathy is currently the Chief Operating Officer of Lemoine Avenue LLC, a family office focused on real estate in the greater NYC area.  She has entrepreneurial experience in the culinary, event planning, and retail industries while also having held positions at companies including Samsung and Per Se. Kathy received a Bachelor of Science in Management Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Grand Diplôme in Classic Pastry Arts from the French Culinary Institute.

TOM ROH

 
Tom is a Managing Director of Atherton Pacific Group and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of investments in private equity and secured debt.  He has over 18 years of experience in finance, having primarily focused on specialty finance and mortgage-backed capital markets.  Most recently, Tom was a Managing Director at Aristone Capital Markets where he was an active commercial real estate lender and opportunistic distressed asset investor.

Mistress of Ceremonies
VIVIAN LEE, NY1

A longtime advocate and supporter of KAFSC, Vivian will grace the stage, facilitating our Gala as our Mistress of Ceremonies once more.  

Vivian Lee joined NY1 as an anchor and reporter in 2008. Since then she has anchored continuous, live coverage on stories of vital local and national interest, including anchoring NY1's team coverage of Pope Francis' historic visit to Cuba and the US in September 2015.

MILTON WASHINGTON, SLICKBOY STUDIOS

A masterful storyteller, and first-hand narrator of the Korean-American experience, Milton returns to preside over KAFSC Gala's Live Auction with much heart and humor in tow.


Born in South Korea, Milton was adopted and brought to the States in 1979 where he learned English and the American culture. Today, he lives in Harlem, operating his Sales Coaching and Visual Development agency, Slickyboy Studios, and working on his memoir entitled Slickyboy.
