Interview with Riar Rizaldi & Adythia Utama / BISING, published by Alessandro Violante on March 19, 2017 on Flux.
It’s been very important in order to raise the attention on a documentary movie, directed in 2014, entitled BISING, focused on the yet recent Indonesian noise scene, directed by three of these artists.


Critical Music series: Interview with Sheng Jie by escdotdot.
Sheng Jie (aka gogoj) is a visual artist and musician based in Beijing. Much of her current experimental music and sound work reflects her study of the violin and cello, as well as of video and performance art. Since returning to Beijing from college in France in 2005, she has been developing various forms of audio/visual performance using these elements. Read more here for part 1 and there for part 2.

ERC Research Fellow/Associate in 'Sounds of occupation in 20th century Asia' (ART001317) at the University of Nottingham. (deadline 22 March, it's tomorrow !)
Salary: £26,052 to £34,956 per annum, depending on skills and experience (minimum £29301 with relevant PhD). Location: University Park.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading Stream 2 ('Sounds of Occupation') in COTCA. He/she must also undertake a case study on 'Sounds of occupation in the Philippines', developing and undertaking a research project on the American presence in the 20th century Philippines from an auditory or sonic history perspective. Hanoi Grapevine is looking for a new management team. For the last 10 years, Hanoi Grapevine has been a major source of information about art and culture events for tens of thousands of readers, both Vietnamese and foreign residents, students and professionals, artists and their audiences. They have connected thousands of people, inspired a lot more, and nurtured a love for arts and culture among countless young people.  Now, after running it for 10 years, they’d like to hand over Hanoi Grapevine to the next generation who will be equally passionate as we are about contributing to the arts community and making our society a better and more humane place.
