Dear friend,

Last month, I chaperoned my two teenaged children, Journey and Harvest, to their first youth conference hosted by Youth Specialties.  The theme of the conference couldn't be more appropriate and timely -- Fearless!

God is a safe place to hide,
ready to help when we need Him.
We stand fearless at the cliff-edge of doom,
courageous in seastorm and earthquake,
before the rush and roar of oceans,
the tremors that shift mountains.

Psalm 46:1-2 The Message

Praise God for this good news! My chest pains are gone. My blood pressure is back to normal. My visual field exam and most of my blood tests came back normal. My neurosurgeon said that these great results do not warrant surgery at this time. Yay!

As for my headaches, he said they are possibly not caused by the tumor, given the size of it and the results of my tests. He wants me to see my neurologist for the relief of my headaches and have another MRI in 3 months to check if the tumor is growing. He said that if the tumor grows from its size when we found it, then we'll have to talk about surgery.

“How do we best navigate the journey at hand?” is the question Ronnie and I have asked ourselves in the light of my health issue, the season of life our family is currently in, and the many ministry opportunities we have in Cru.

As you may know, my role in GAiN involves overseas travel.  This month of March, I would have been part of a team scheduled to travel to the Middle East to help with our refugee outreach. As Ronnie and I prayed about it, we felt strongly that it would be best for me to not travel overseas right now. Changing some of the details of our ministry involvement seems to be the right thing to do.

My family and I are very grateful for the outpouring of love and support you, along with our friends and ministry partners, have shown us since I've sent out the news on my health situation. Thank you for your prayers and all the words of encouragement you've sent our way! Please pardon me if it has taken me a while to get back with you. Thankfully, my medical appointments have finally slowed down a little bit.

I hope to catch up with you soon.  When you get a chance, would you please send me an update about you, how you're doing and how I can be praying for you, too?  I would appreciate that. Prayers are such a powerful thing! It is our lifeline to experiencing the divine in the small and ordinary things, as well it is our open access to seeing the miraculous, paving the way for us to know and love Him more, in much greater depth, in sweeter ways like we've never experienced before.

I look forward to hearing from you. Abundant blessings be yours in Christ!

Love sincerely,
Jenny Aquino
"So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal."
2 Corinthians 4:16-18 ESV

Cru and all its supported missionaries around the world like me are able to continue our work of fulfilling the Great Commission through the faithful prayers and generous financial gifts of our ministry partners. If you would like to initiate a new special or monthly gift, renew or adjust your current giving, or send an extra contribution to help cover my medical bills, click here or the donate button below.  Remember, all financial gifts towards my ministry are tax-deductible.

Thank you so much!
