Health and business insurance

With over 25 years of experience servicing national associations, Association Health Programs is the industry leader for providing health and business insurance solutions to association members by designing and recommending products tailored to each association’s member’s needs by offering, product knowledge, rate stability, buying power, and more.

Through our partnership with AHP, we are very excited to provide our members with an exclusive health and business insurance program available all year-round. Many of our members will be able to save as much as 50% on their premiums. It’s a great opportunity for the members who don’t have health insurance, are healthy, and can’t afford, or don’t want to pay for, the very expensive plans offered through Healthcare Reform.

As part of a national pool (over 300 national associations) we are able to offer our members these special plans and rates. For further information visit associationpros.com/jaws or call AHP at 888-450-3040.

Take part in mentoring

Mentoring is a core tenet of JAWS and we encourage you to join our mentorship program! We are especially looking for women journalists with ten or more years of experience in journalism, specifically in TV and radio, who can act as mentors.

You can sign up to be a mentee, gaining valuable insight from editors, reporters, publishers, authors, educators and others, or you can sign up to be a mentor, offering career tips, advice and support to those in need of a career boost or just some advice.

The possibilities of what a mentee and mentor can do are endless, and the kind of relationship you develop is entirely up to you. Some folks meet through Google Hangout. Some folks like to meet in person ... let us know what you’d like to do as a mentor or mentee by contacting web@jaws.org to be sent the sign up link. The mentoring program is only open to JAWS members.
