Dear Praying Friend,

We are now only six weeks away from leaving our home here to visit you on furlough. But that six weeks will also be a flurry of activity—teaching a class next week in Singapore on the New Testament, sharing a series on the book of Daniel with our church, finishing out our classes in Manila and preparing to go. There is lots to do and we need your prayers!

Building and Concert
Our primary ministry is teaching at BJMBC, a Bible college and seminary, and for 31 years now we have been without a building of our own. Paperwork and bureaucracy has delayed that project for more than a year but by God's powerful hand, we are delighted to share that we now have the permit to build!
Construction is at last underway. Please pray for safety and for wise oversight. Please also pray for interest for the workers in weekend Bible studies, led by some of our students.

Of course, buildings cost money, and so we also look forward to a special fund raising concert presenting Handel's "Messiah" on March 20. Please pray for health and strength for the many involved, as well as clarity in presenting the truth. Check here if you would like to have a part in the concert's efforts to raise funds for our building project.

Distance teaching
In our last report, I mentioned my burden to train men in developing countries so that they don't need to leave home, family, and ministry. Many of you prayed for the launch of our first class, Advanced Biblical Theology. By God's grace we were able to connect with over 30 students from 10 different countries around the world. No lives were uprooted in the process.
I wish you could meet even just some of the men. Many work with slow internet speeds and strange class hours. Some are watching the lectures twice to catch the advanced teaching in their second language. Their eager diligence motivates me bountifully for every hour spent in preparation and organization. Please pray that God would give them understanding and blessing for their diligence and that they would be increasingly equipped to capably preach God's Word from a full heart.

Furlough
We are spinning towards the end of another school year, and completing our first term here in the Philippines. We are in awe at what God has done over these short but full years. Looking back reminds us of the steady, quiet grace that has always been available and will also accompany us in all that comes with the word "furlough".
A few things have changed since the time we arrived in 2013...

We are one small part of His work all over the world; we look forward to hearing also how God has been working in your lives!
Joel, Sarah,
Jeremy, Zachary,
and Caroline Arnold
