Battleground to Breaking Ground Launch Event & Workshop
April 28 & 29
The Battleground to Breaking Ground Project is hosting 2 events supporting veterans and beginning farmers & ranchers at the Millican Reserve in College Station, Texas. 

There will be a Launch Event for the Battleground to Breaking Ground Entrepreneurial Training Project on Friday April 28 and a Ag Business Workshop on Saturday April 29.
APRIL 28, 2017- LAUNCH EVENT
  • Event to highlight training project for veterans and beginning farmers/ranchers.  Family friendly event featuring:
    • Farm Tour, Food, Networking, Veteran Vendors, Live Music, Games, and much more!
  • Location: Millican Reserve  4401 High Prairie Road, College Station, Texas 77845
  • Time: 3-5pm

APRIL 29, 2017- WORKSHOP
  •   Ag Business Workshop for veterans, individuals with disabilities, beginning farmer/ranchers, and anyone interested in starting an ag business.
    • Workshop sessions will include:
      • Agriculture business start-up
      • Business plan development
      • Possibilities for farming/ranching with a disability
      • Financial funding sources for farming/ranching, marketing
      • Resources to support agriculture business operations
  • Location: Millican Reserve  4401 High Prairie Road, College Station, Texas 77845
  • Time: 8am-5pm

We need mentors for the Battleground to Breaking Ground Entrepreneurial Training Project.  With this mentor opportunity, you will be able to help the next generation of veterans and beginning farmers and ranchers start their production agriculture business.  Pass on those lessons you have learned during your time in agriculture.
