New England Distance is excited to announce a new running club starting in the Cumberland-Attleboro area this spring! This will be a community running club coached by the elite runners of the NE Distance Project. Participants will meet three times a week for speed and endurance workouts designed and supervised by the head coach. This club is perfect for adults who wants to run anything from the 5K to the marathon, and beyond!

Worried you aren’t experienced enough to join? Don’t be! This club is for EVERYONE! The coaches will divide the workouts into 3 training groups to fit the needs of all members.

Big Racing Weekend!

Two of our middle distance aces, Steve Mangan and Ryan Widzgowski are out in Albuquerque, New Mexico getting ready for the USATF Indoor Nationals.  The meet will be broadcast on NBCSports Saturday at 10:30pm and Sunday at 5:30pm.  Ryan was selected to run in the 1000m after a blistering race at the BU Terrier Meet.  Steve was on the bubble to get into the mile, but sealed his entry with a 3:59.49 mile at the BU Last Chance meet last weekend.  His race is Sunday at 5:36pm.

When you are an elite mudder, the cross country season just keeps going!  Katrina Spratford races for Team USA at the NACAC (North American, Central American & Caribbean) on Saturday March 4th in Boca Raton, FL.  Go Katie!!

Not to be outdone, Nick Ross roared back with a sub-4 mile at the BU Last Chance meet!

Look for Katrina Spratford, Jake Sienko and new team member Aaron Dinzeo out at the USATF 15k National Championship at the Gate River Run, Jacksonville, FL next weekend, March 11.

After these races, we'll be gearing up for Middle School Track season as well and look forward to getting our young runners ready for their spring meets.  Woonsocket and Providence meet seasons will be posted on the web site soon.  www.nedistance.org
