Can you believe it's already March!
This year at Rockit is looking pretty exciting! With plans to revamp the office, retail and kiosk areas, it will be a much more spacious and easier to get around. This means even more room for a greater range and stock of gear. Member check-ins will become easier with the introduction of plastic sign in cards and their own sign in terminal.

We are also well on our way to set up lead climbing on a bunch of our walls which is super exciting as it adds a new dynamic and thrill to each climb! Having lead set up in the gym will also provide awesome training for those climbers who are keen on entering comps throughout the year.

Our lucky climbing coaches and sponsored climbers recently got the chance to participate in a training session with Monique Forestier (an amazing and inspiring Australian climber!). Monique got the crew to push their limits, smashing lead climbs they didn't know they could... now to put all that advice into practice - especially at the upcoming Sate Lead Titles in March.

Now that school has gone back, don’t forget to check out Rockit’s Climbing Academy (see below for details or check out our website for more info).

What's new at Rockit

Our bouldering wall is now in full swing – with a range of challenges for you to project and conquer, it is perfect for the solo climber to train on or to muck around on with friends. We have installed two more auto belays – another great option for the solo climber – the auto belays also make great warm-up runs and ambitious project climbs.  Also, if you haven’t already, check out our Zlag training board and elephant balls – awesome for training your finger strength for those testing crimpers!

We just got in a bunch of new holds and volumes that have already found a home on the walls (our setters were keen to get them up) – with some nice slopers, they make for some difficult climbs! The guys have been busy these last few months putting up new climbs – if you haven’t tried them yet, come in and give them a whirl.

We have also increased our range of shoes, harnesses and climbing equipment in the Rockit Shop – giving you more of a choice when it comes to finding the right gear for you.
Spiel From the Setters
Our setters have been going nuts over the last few months - with plenty of new holds to play with they have been putting up some fun climbs.
We have a few new up and coming setters on board and are super psyched to be working with - Milly, Jono, Angus and Jack.  These are all sponsored junior climbers, and will no doubt produce some outstanding problems in the weeks to come.
