Tomorrow is International Women’s Day 2017.
In December 1977, The United Nations proclaimed a Day for Women’s Rights and International Peace, a political and human rights theme that aims to bring out a strong political and social awareness of the struggles of women worldwide. It is built on a premise of hope and effective action.
In this article, we are paying tribute to the mothers of social justice, the human rights campaigners, the social activists, social entrepreneurs and politicians. And equally importantly, we celebrate the younger ones and learn from them.
Let’s embrace the ongoing battles and participate.
