In this Play-Shop, we'll explore various ways flame and heat can be used to shape, alter, and decorate different materials for art-making, or just for fun.

Playing with Silk Screen
Sat April 8th or Mon April 10th

Come and learn several very simple methods of screen printing. These techniques can be used to make multiple prints of the same image, on paper, wood, or fabric.

Playing with Monoprinting
Sat May 13th or
Mon May 15th

Play with making multi-layered one-of-a-kind prints using a synthetic gelatin plate. This is a great way to make beautiful papers for cards or collage, or to make unique small pieces of art. As always, no experience is necessary!

Playing with Paper-making
Sat June 10th or
Mon June 12th

Back by popular request - learn to make handmade paper out of recycled materials.

Playing with Solvent
Sat July 8th or
Mon July 10th

We did this a couple years ago, and everybody had a blast! Use non-toxic citrus solvent and magazine photos to make gorgeous papers.
