Marcia Goldman, former PACE Education Director, is highlighted in the latest 'Family Room' "happiness is a warm dog"article in Good Housekeeping Magazine (March 2017). Lola, a sophisticated Yorkie dressed in her red scarf, started visiting the PACE Sunny Days Preschool in 2015 with Marcia to help the children connect. Marcia believes that the children feel safe with Lola and Lola enjoys visiting and receiving attention from the preschool children. The pet therapy program is only one of many programs we offer at Sunny Days and we are happy to have Lola visit, especially now that she is famous! Ms. Goldman has also written many Lola-inspired books to help children through challenging life moments.
Our preschool, Sunny Days, is an inclusive preschool open to children of all abilities. We combine methodologies that together provide for each child’s unique needs and learning style. Children work on communication, sensory integration, social-relatedness, gross and fine motor development, play and self-help skills.
PACE is looking to the near future and plans to renovate and make needed repairs to the Sunny Days Preschool and K2 classrooms. Please consider supporting the Sunny Days Preschool K2 Renovation Project, the funds raised will help the children to bring even more connection and learning with specific developmental sensory walls, book cases, workstations, flooring, room dividers, and many more items on our wishlist. Help us make the best classroom for our children with developmental needs.
