Future of the Library: An Open Discussion
 
Come hear Dedham Public Library's new Director Bonnie Roalsen share her vision for public library services in the 21st century.

Dedham Reads 2017
Throughout the month of March all residents are encouraged to read this year's Dedham Reads book The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind by William Kamkwamba.

Program offerings include:
Bike Power!- All month you can come in and ride a bike to generate the energy necessary to power a light, just as William did as a boy; we will have adult and child sized bikes! The Bike Power! station sponsored by DLIT.
• Children's Craft: African Masks - March 8 at the Main Library and March 14 at the Endicott Branch, both at 3:30 p.m.
Children's Craft: Wind Spirals - March 22 at the Main Library and March 28 at the Endicott Branch, both at 3:30 p.m. 
William Kamkwamba Film - March 20 at 6:30 p.m. and March 23 at 10:30 a.m. at the Main Library
The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind book discussion - March 28 at 7 p.m. at the Endicott Branch Library
William Kamkwamba TED Talk Discussion - April 5 at 7 p.m. at the Main Library
Dedham Reads Gala - April 7 at 7 p.m. at the Main Library
Solar Charging Station - This month we will be installing a solar charging station outside of the Main Library. The Solar Charging station sponsored by DLIT. 
The Main Library is now circulating video games as well as video game consoles. Drop in and see what games are available; you can even play them at the library!

Preschool Movie Time

Short movies for young children playing at the Main Library every Monday at 10:30 a.m.
Cards 'n' Coffee
Stop by the Main Library every Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. to play card games and enjoy some coffee. 
Super Awesome Fun Time!
  
45 minutes of super awesome fun time! Music, song, stories, and sensory play for all. You don't want to miss this. Free and for all ages!

Every Monday at 3 p.m. and every Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Main Library
Kids' Coloring at the Endicott Branch Library every Monday through Friday from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Time for Tea
Escape the winter cold and drop by the Main or Endicott Branch Library every Thursday at 2:30 p.m. to enjoy tea, cookies, and community.  Free and open to all.

Computer Help!

Do you have computer questions? Our tech-savvy librarian has the answers. So bring your laptop, tablet, phone, or whatever, and ask your most burning questions.

Endicott Afternoon Book Group: Thursday afternoons, 12:30pm
• March 9 – Bastard Out of Carolina by Dorothy Allison

• April 13 – Salt: A World History by Mark Kurlansky

Mom’s Book Group: Endicott Estate, 7:15pm
• March 9 – Brain on Fire by Susannah Calahan
