First, thanks to all who came to the Golden Sails on Sunday, Feb. 26 to see Jeffrey Broussard and the Creole Cowboys. The music was rockin' and the dancers were hoppin' ... everyone had a great time.

These musicians have been active in the SoCal Louisiana-based music scene for many years, having played with Lisa Haley and the Zydekats, T-Lou & His L.A. Zydeco Band, Bonne Musique Zydeco, Bennie & the Swamp Gators, and David Sousa & the Zydeco Mud Bugs.

Some members of the band have worked with Louisiana Zydeco artists such as Willis Prudhomme and JoJo Reed, as well as music legends including Barry White, Ray Charles, The Ink Spots, Johnny Otis, Etta James, and Papa John Creach.

Support live music ... Come to the dance ... enjoy traditional
Zydeco music ... with some nods to Cajun, Swamp Pop, and New Orleans.

Ben Guzman and Paul Rathje

Paul Rathje spent 15 years mastering the accordion and Ben Guzman has been playing traditional American fiddle music for over a decade.

As well as dueling fiddle and accordion, the band regularly includes guitar and triangle,
and at times can include bass and rub board.
